EXECUTIVE SKILLS
β€œThe ability to manage ourselves and our resources is the key to success in any endeavor." - Stephen Covey.

Executive Skills largely determine your academic success, perhaps even more than intelligence.
This is because executive skills assist in exhibiting goal-directed behavior.
You can be intelligent, but if you are distracted by every stimulus or every internal stimulus,
learning becomes more difficult.

There are eight different executive skills.

Take this quiz to see an example of each executive skill

Executive Skills Quiz

After completing the quiz, proceed to Step 1 and 2.

Step 1 Analyze your Executive Skills

Go through the types of executive skills listed above. What are you good at? What would you like to improve? Rank yourself.

Rank your skills. Make a list, setting your best skill at the top and the one you need to improve most at the bottom of your list. Give an example of each skill.

It is important to self-reflect and periodically assess your executive skills, identify strengths, and recognize areas for growth to create a balanced skill set. Continuous improvement in executive skills can contribute to achieving long-term goals and adapting to various challenges in life. Self-reflection is very important if you want to reach your full potential. Click below to learn more about self-reflection.

Step 2 Do you want to change?

Now that you have assessed your executive skills, it is important that you reflect on whether you want to improve the ones you could be better at. Do you want to commit to the hard work that improving yourself entails?

Write a short text in which you explain why you want to/do not want to change. Explain your choice. Explain experiences you have had in the past to support your argument.

This training is about you. Only you can make the change. If you are not willing to do so, it is better that you realize this before the training strarts. Click here to learn more about the importance of commitment when it comes to improving yourself.
